We understand that a breakdown of a relationship can be an exceptionally emotional time for our clients and as such we offer a sympathetic yet constructive approach to helping you resolve the issues.

Partner Jacqui Marsland has gained national accreditation from the Law Society having been appointed to the Law Society’s Family Panel which recognises her experience and expertise in handling the delicate issues involved. She along with other qualified colleagues offers effective legal advice to help limit the damage a breakdown can cause both emotionally and financially. Our service includes the Divorce/Dissolution of Civil Partnership, Financial matters, disputes between cohabitees and dealing with problems you may have regarding any children eg who they should live with and when they see the absent parent. The department is also assisted by our trainee solicitor Nicola Sanders.

In addition we can help if you are being threatened or harassed by someone and help you seek the necessary protection.

Help with legal costs is available for some cases and we can assess whether you are eligible.

Legal advice in this area is not limited to the breakdown of relationships. We can offer advice on your rights if you are getting married or intend to live with someone and help with pre-marital agreements, cohabitation agreements and Wills.
